Team of brave fundraisers walk across fire for our mito families

On Tuesday 30th April 2019 over 1000 people descended on Newcastle Falcons’ Rugby grounds to participate in a potential World Record breaking Firewalk.

Many charities took part, including our own, where 20 brave fundraisers challenged themselves to walk across fire all to raise money for the foundation. However, a team of fundraisers from Barnsley in Sheffield made the two-hour trek up north to raise funds specifically for one of our clients called Daniel, who is currently fundraising for a specialist hydrotherapy pool.

Team Daniel raised over £2,500 for his cause, whilst Team Charlie raised over £1000 for the foundation, so a fantastic event that we’ll definitely be taking part in again next year.

Sadly, no world records were broken, but we were part of the UK’s largest firewalk, and had a fantastic time in doing so. If you’d like to know more about our quirky fundraising events, then please do sign up for our Newsletter here for all of our latest news, events and offers.
